Coriander leaf
The leaf and fine stem of Coriandrum sativum — a different ingredient from the seed, which tastes nothing like it. The soapy note some people report is a genetic difference in the OR6A2 olfactory receptor, not a matter of the leaf's freshness. Stems carry more aroma than leaves and should not be discarded.
